We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing HR Team!

What you’ll do

The Human Resource Generalist here at A2 Hosting will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Who you’ll work with 

Our Human Resources team is the backbone of our company. As the Human Resource Generalist at A2 Hosting, you will work with a team of passionate HR professionals who are lifelong learners that seek new ways to solve old problems. 

 

Who you are 

  • Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations.
  • Handle administrative and operational Human Resource requirements for various Business Units.
  • Processes bi-weekly multi-state payroll
  • Assists HR Manager with employee relations issues
  • Oversees all Leave of Absences (LOA), Family Medical Leave (FMLA), Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD)
  • Performs benefits administration, including change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Manages onboarding process for all incoming team members
  • Work with management to continue to build an outstanding culture in the workplace.
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; audits as necessary.
  • Maintains employee personnel files.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

Skills you have 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years relevant, progressive experience in HR Generalist roles, with proven experience in supporting Human Resources in a growing company
  • Experience in a remote work environment is very strongly preferred
  • Experience in a Hosting or similar Technology company strongly preferred
  • Must be computer literate with demonstrated proficiency in G Suite and MS Office;

  • Experience designing and implementing datacenter networks, local and wide area, including everything from network hardware selection, to setting up multiple locations, designing VLAN schemes, and configuring GRE tunnels.
  • Ideally, deep experience with Cisco IOS administration and implementation. We're heavy on Cisco but also have Juniper, Ubiquiti, Corero, and Fortinet so concepts are far more important than brand specialization.
  • 5+ years of Linux system-level network administration and troubleshooting.
  • Considerable depth in any particular area mentioned above.
  • Comfort with helping the group plan, design, and implement large-scale internal applications to scratch our own itches, such as automated provisioning systems or datacenter/inventory management or some kind of web frontend to abstract network configuration.
  • A strong passion for automation and doing things right, or failing right, at least robust!
  • Knowledge of the value in good, clear procedural and reference documentation and the ability to produce it.
  • Preferably, a familiarity with configuration management systems for ensuring networking gear consistency and managing changes.

Position Overview:

Migrations Specialists facilitate the onboarding of new clients and fulfill existing client requests by performing website migrations. By collaborating with Technical Support Staff, Migrations Specialists are expected to deliver an unsurpassed support experience to all A2 Hosting Clients.

Job responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for the website migration lifecycle, including communicating with the customer regarding any relevant pre-migration information, performing the migration and following-up with the customer to address any post-migration concerns.
  • Follow support policies and procedures as set by the Leadership Team.
  • Meet with Leadership Team regularly and provide feedback on workflow and processes.
  • Resolve migration requests within established service level agreement (SLA).
  • Resolve client requests by adhering to the established migration workflow.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong desire to grow technical skills.
  • Previous experience in the web hosting industry is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Wordpress and other open source CMSs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with common web hosting services (cPanel, Plesk, PHP, MySQL, FTP, DNS)
  • Patience and perseverance to provide exceptional technical support to non-technical users.

We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our growing Service Assurance team.

The Service Assurance Team is responsible for monitoring the impact each customer is having on our servers and ensuring no single customer causes a negative experience for the rest of our customer base. The team is responsible for monitoring individual account disk, CPU, and bandwidth usage, along with monitoring email queues, MySQL statistics, server load, and uptime.

If a customer is found to be causing any of the above issues, it is the Service Assurance Team's responsibility to contact the customer and work with them to resolve the issue expeditiously.

The team needs to take action to ensure the problem does not affect other customers but must also ensure the action taken has a minimal effect on the account causing the issue.

We are looking for a motivated, team focused, fast learners to join our family. Let's get into the core of what we expect from you:

  • Working closely with the team to find trends in abuse issues;
  • Search for compromised accounts, communicate with affected customers and suggest a course of action;
  • Find SPAM coming from servers and take appropriate action including notifying the customer.
  • Work with blacklists to remove company IPs that may get blacklisted;
  • Field and respond to incoming DMCA or other legal notices that arrive pertaining to sites on our servers;
  • Helping educate customers to proper hosting and account security methods;
  • The chance to work on tools/projects that can help the team;
  • Act as an advanced level of support and mentor other team members.

Skills We're Looking for:

  • Familiarity with the Linux command-line; should be comfortable navigating around, know the location of common logs/config files, and know common troubleshooting commands.
  • Top of the line customer service skills; it is vital that each team member is able to read a customers reply and reply in a manner that best fits the customers' needs. Written communication skills are very important.
  • Ability to remain calm in adversity; customers get angry - it's very important that we remain calm, figure out why the customer is upset, and respond accordingly.
  • Deal with unique circumstances; each issue is different, and our team needs to be able to adapt to and make decisions based on each situation. There are few "if X happens, then do Y" circumstances, so we need to be able to interpret and take action on the fly.
  • Open mind; security is ever changing and it's important that our team constantly adapts to new problems and new methods of attacking issues.
